La popularidad de Kim Junsu (XIA) en Sudamérica es extraordinaria. Su título de la canción Tarantallegra llega al Teen Top para salir en primer lugar en la tabla semanal de radio en Perú. Kim Junsu emergió en primer lugar con 1,835 votos, por delante de otras celebridades como Big Bang, Tokio Hotel, Justin Bieber y 2NE1 en una votación que consistió en 3,014 participantes.

Este no es el único signo de la ‘enfermedad de Junsu’ en Perú. [NEWS] 120725 JYJ′s Kim Junsu’s Five-City Concert Dates for North & South America Confirmed

Kim Junsu’s upcoming concert tour dates and venues in the Americas have been confirmed!

Kim Junsu will kick off his world tour on August 30 at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom where JYJ also held its showcase in back in 2010. The venue has also been used in the past by famous musicians such as P.Diddy, Nicki Minaj, Nas and others.

Kim Junsu will then hold a concert at L.A.’s Hollywood Palladium on September 2 before moving on to Mexico City’s Blackberry Auditorium on September 6, Brazil’s Sao Paolo’s Espacio Victory on September 8 and capping things off at Chile’s Santiago’s Teatro Caupolica on September 10.

A staff on the South American concert preparations shared, “Kim Junsu’s world tour news is already causing a fervor among fans here. Though we know economically or profit-wise the South America tour is not as appealing, we believe after the concerts, a positive effect will result in the Americas according to C-Jes’ strategy.”

A C-Jes representative added, “The world tour is part of our limitless challenges. Even for America’s pop singers, holding a tour in North and South America is not an easy task. We will hold a successful concert and we have confidence in our infrastructure and system.”

Kim Junsu is finishing up work on his upcoming repackaged album including the English language single and music video which was produced and shot in LA. He will finish his Asia tour in Hong Kong on August 7 before embarking on his world tour.

[NEWS] 120721 JYJ Kim Junsu rewrites K-pop history with his world tour

JYJ member Junsu who has embarked on his solo career will write a new K-pop history of his own. Wrapping up his Asia tour which made stops in Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan and China, he is now preparing for another tour, this time in North and South America and Europe.

His first solo album “Tarantalegra” dominated international music charts, including Germany’s Asia music chart, Chile’s Etc…TV pop chart and Japan’s iTunes music chart. It also ranked on Billboard’s top 10 world album along with its music video entering at No.1 on a Chinese weekly music video chart.

Junsu planned out a world tour from the early stage of his solo career as he had limited access to his fans with TV. So he consulted able promoters who were in charge of previous JYJ world tour, and planned out one for himself this time that would make two to three stops in the each continent.

Junsu is currently working on repackaging his first solo album in English for the upcoming world tour. World-renowned producer Bruce ‘Automatic’ Vanderveer who had collaborated with American singer Christina Aguilera and music video director Marc Klasfeld who worked with Beyonce, Eminem and Jay-Z participate in the repackaging process for Junsu’s album and the music video.

As the news of Kim Junsu’s world tour spread out, his fans across the country take part in a campaign, wishing his tour made a stop in their nations. Fans in Peru made a collection of photos in which every single one of them was holding Junsu’s album and poster. His Mexican fans created a 5-minute video, entitled “Mexico is always waiting for you JYJ” on Youtube. Fans around Europe and South America posted messages online wishing for his visit to their countries.

A pop-culture critic in Korea said Kim Junsu was the very first solo musician launching a “world” tour, and his challenge wourld be worth looking at, because his overseas success could open a whole new world for solo artists, who did not relatively have much opportunities in the overseas music market, compared to idol groups.

Kim Junsu’s repackage to his first solo album will be released in the middle of August, and he will kick off his highly-anticipated world tour in the end of this August.

[NEWS] 120716 JYJ’s Kim Junsu to Tour Americas, Europe and Release Repackaged Album

Kim Junsu is bringing his music magic to the Americas and Europe.

On July 16, C-Jes Entertainment revealed Kim Junsu would be touring North America, South America and Europe in a world tour with plans to stop at two or three cities per continent.

The agency shared, “From the beginning we targeted not only Korea but also Asia with Kim Junsu’s solo album and aimed for abroad with the music video. We are in the middle of a successful Asia tour but have continued to receive an outpouring of requests from the Americas and other places abroad and we have thus decided to embark on a world tour.”

The agency also added plans for a new album saying, “With the world tour we are currently preparing a repackaged album. This new album will included an English single targeting the world and its music video will be produced in the U.S. We cannot disclose who yet but renowned staff members in America will be taking part [in the album].”

The dates and locations of the upcoming world tour will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Kim Junsu is finding success in all part of the world including Chile.

According to the popular Chilean channel ETC-TV’s Pop Chart on July 10, Kim Junsu’s first solo album Tarantallegra managed to place first on the chart.

In doing so, Kim Junsu became the first Korean artist to place first on the ETC-TV Pop Chart.

The explosive growth in popularity and attention on Kim Junsu in Chile is being attributed to JYJ’s March concert in the South American country.

Following the success of JYJ’s South America tour, the popularity of JYJ, its members, K-Pop and even Korea itself is said to have skyrocketed.

Kim Junsu was also happy to hear of his latest accomplishment saying, “I’m all the more happy to see the results from the world tour. Though Chile and Korea are far apart distance-wise, I’m truly happy to hear of fans there who listen to and love my music and I feel a greater sense of responsibility. Thank you.”

C-Jes Entertainment added, “Though Kim Junsu’s Asia tour has come to an end we are continuing to receive love calls from North America, Europe and South America and really feeling the popularity of a world star. We’re open to a lot of opportunities following our Asia tour and are currently contemplating our future plans.”

Kim Junsu’s Tarantallegra has been finding success all over the world since the album’s release, placing first in China’s latest music video site and placing first on a German Asian music chart.
